This book is another amazing read from Molly Knox Ostertag. It is beautifully written and illustrated. The characters feel real and lively. Reading this book was like stepping into a slightly magical version of a childhood summer. This book is full of diverse and hilarious characters and tackles important conversations around sexuality and different kinds of relationships and friendships. The Girl from the Sea would make an excellent gift for young adult or middle grade readers who want to be submerged in a spectacular semi-aquatic story and escape some of our current dreary weather for somewhere warmer.
